Location: 1265 W Le Moyne St, Chicago, IL 60642

Important: This is an active production site — wear comfortable, casual clothing.
Festival Environment: 100% outdoors.

Interview Details

• Dates: Every Monday through Friday

• Time: Drop by anytime between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

• Format: Open call — no appointment needed

• Bring: Your resume (we're hiring immediately!)

• Process: On-the-spot 10–15 minute interviews

We're hiring Fortune Tellers to join our high-energy seasonal team.
Pay: $17.00/hour

About the Role

Jack's Pumpkin Pop-Up in Chicago is looking for energetic, engaging performers to bring our Halloween characters to life! This seasonal role involves portraying a mystical, fortune-teller-inspired character in an immersive, outdoor festival environment. You'll interact with guests, stay in character, and create memorable experiences through playful performances.

If you have experience with tarot cards, palmistry, or other theatrical props, that's a plus — but this is a performance role, not an actual psychic service.

Responsibilities:

• Perform as a scripted or improvised Halloween character
• Engage guests in themed interactions
• Use props (tarot cards, crystal balls, etc.) as part of the performance
• Maintain energy, professionalism, and character throughout your shift

Requirements:

• Outgoing, performance-oriented personality
• Comfortable speaking and improvising with guests
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather
• Previous acting, improv, or entertainment experience preferred
