Job Description

A rapidly growing CPA firm based in Carlsbad and with corporate clients in 25 states is looking for a Tax Accountant to join their team. This is a newly created position due to company growth. The company offers a good work/life balance and the opportunity to work with a talented and friendly team.

The Tax Accountant position is a great opportunity for someone who has interned at a CPA firm and who wishes to pursue a career in Public Accounting or alternatively someone who is currently a Tax Accountant and is looking to join a firm where there is the opportunity for rapid promotion to Senior Tax Accountant.

This is a Hybrid position.

Tax Accountant responsibilities:
- Corporate tax returns both Federal & State
- Reviewing client financials statements
- Collating backup for tax returns
- Tax research
- Setting up Powers of Attorney
- Sales & Use tax
- Audit support

Tax Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent or advancement towards status
- 0-2 years of progressive tax experience/exposure
- Corporate Tax experience a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and to meet deadlines
